The Greater Boston Scholastic Touring Choir

Maestro Brian M. O'Connell [bio]
Music Director and Conductor
will lead 40 young, talented and dedicated musicians, ages 15 to 25, who wish to sing a wide, challenging repertoire
in several languages

The chorus will travel and perform locally,
national and internationally

Auditions will take place on Thursday, July 3, 2008
4 to 7:30 PM
at Komitas Studio 258 Blanchard Rd, Belmont, MA [map]
The Audition will consists of three parts:
Music reading and range
Tonal memory
Sing a short excerpt (unaccompanied) of a song of your own choosing
The audition will take about 15 minutes
First come first serve basis
To participate RSVP before June 19 [click here]
Repertoire will consist of an eclectic mix of music from modern era to Renaissance including music from all over the world
Rehearsals will take place on Thursdays
will last about two hours
Time and location [around Lexington] will be announced shortly
Fees:
Auditioning is free
Membership fee is $300 annually and some additional fees may apply for travel
Scholarships may also be available for those in need
